I'm currently looking for a Group Manager within the Funds industry for an Alternative Investment company.
The Group Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of account managers and their client relationships providing timely and accurate accounting support, including preparation of financial statements and NAV's, as well as investor services support, to our fund administration clients
Responsibilities include:
Setting operational direction for and managing a team of account managers and monitoring their work;
Managing on-going client relationships and initial client transitions;
Overseeing the preparation and analysis of budgets, Net Asset Value statements in accordance with statutory and US GAAP and management reporting packages;
Overseeing the completion of partner/investor allocation calculations, including incentive and management fee calculations;
Preparing, analyzing, and reviewing periodic financial statements; ? Assisting auditors and other fund participants and advisers;
Instructing payment of the expenses of client funds;
Reviewing and signing off on all investor services functions for their funds including processing subscription/redemption requests, reviewing and approving transaction processing on the transfer agency system, paying out redemption process and completing full AML checks on investors;
Proactively developing and improving standard workflows;
Assisting with training and knowledge transfer of new staff members; ?
Ownership and responsibility for special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND
Experience:
Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA, etc) preferred and minimum eight years' experience in in the hedge fund industry, preferably within alternative investment administration.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS for funds, securities and other financial instruments.
Advanced supervisory skills and minimum three years' team leadership experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
