Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated Engineers to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in Malta, New York. These positions will be required to install, operate and maintain the facilities instrumentation and controls systems and resolve equipment issues. This opening is for a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform programming and programming changes to PLC based controls systems
Perform programming and programming changes to operator interface (SCADA) systems
Maintain and update the FMCS (Facilities Monitoring and Control System) and associated networks and network components
Perform FMCS changes to accommodate customer needs on various facilities related equipment including, but not limited to: Acid Scrubbers, Caustic Scrubbers, VOC Abatement Units, Process Cooling Water Systems, Process Vacuum Systems, Chillers and Chilled Water Support Equipment, Boilers and Hot Water Support Equipment, Process Delivery Systems and various Make-Up and Recirculating Air Handling Systems.
Perform integration of 3rd party devices and systems into FMCS
Troubleshoot and repair FMCS related issues in conjunction with our I&C Technicians
Work with other Facilities departments to troubleshoot and solve their controls related issues
Setup and troubleshoot LANs
Assist in the creation of operations and maintenance specifications
Mentor and coach I&C Technicians and entry level Engineers
Support trouble-shooting of PLC related issues and failures
Partner with Senior Technicians and Management in identifying training requirements and safety procedures in assigned specialty areas
Partner with Engineering, Staff Technicians and other specialty technicians on various facilities projects
Project Management of small to medium sized I&C projects including the managing of electrical and mechanical subcontractors.
Perform additional duties as assigned and assist other specialty areas as required
Perform all activities in a safe ad responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor operations or a related discipline
Minimum of 6-7 years relevant Facilities experience, or equivalent military training / experience or certification from an accredited trade school. (Note: Relevant Facilities experience" is defined as a Facilities or Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment with major emphasis in Instrumentation/Controls and operations.)
Experience programming the Allen-Bradley family of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), 1756 series Logix specifically using RSLogix5000. Experience with PLC enhanced redundancy.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, PIDs, and operations specifications.
Fluent in English Language ? written & verbal
Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirements
Demonstrated SCADA Programming abilities with experience in maintenance and operation of equipment
Demonstrated LAN setup capability with experience in maintenance and operation of LANs
Demonstrated ability to operate computer programs
Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation.
Demonstrated work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities.
Strong team player with ability to work well within a global team.
Demonstrated PLC Programming abilities with experience in maintenance and operation of equipment
Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift
Able to perform activities that include climbing vertical ladders, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawling.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years relevant Facilities experience. (Note: Relevant Facilities experience" is defined as a Facilities or Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment with major emphasis in Instrumentation/Controls and operations.)
Experience with Ethernet/IP communications and ControlNet network design and management, specifically with scheduling and troubleshooting of ControlNet networks
Experience with SQL databases and Windows operating systems (Windows server 2012 and Windows7)
Experience with developing GE Proficy Cimplicity applications with version 8.2 or higher
Experience with ABB and Rockwell VFDs
Experience with Micrologix and SLC500 PLC's using Logix500.
Experience with Siemens PLCs
Experience with PLC network architectures and network switches (copper and fiber)
Experience with interfacing third party controls into PLC networks
Preventative maintenance software and automated building control systems knowledge a plus
Able to wear upgraded PPE
Familiarity with Lean processes
Minimum of 5 years direct experience working in semi-conductor manufacturing or in semi-conductor tool/equipment/facilities maintenance

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
