Sr. Engineer Process Engineering - Metrology

Principal Process Engineer
This position is for a technical individual contributor within the Advanced Module Engineering (AME) group at Fab8 in Malta, NY. The individual selected for this position will work together with other GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology development and manufacturing groups at Fab8. The employee will participate in process development (metrology, CMP/plating, patterning, films, etc.) activities for advanced technology nodes. Projects will include development and optimization of module unit process for 14nm technologies and beyond, and linking with other process engineering and integration groups. In addition to development experience, experience in optimizing unit process for manufacturability will be important. This position involves the transfer of technology to our Fab8 operation groups and you will be located in the Company's Fab 8 operations in Malta, New York.
Specific Responsibilities
Collaborate with GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology development and manufacturing groups and participate in development of metrology and other unit processes.
Design, execute, and analyze experiments to screen and optimize module unit process and equipment to meet technology (e.g., performance, yield, and reliability) and manufacturing (e.g., process stability, cost of ownership) targets.
Work with integration and device groups in the technology development and the manufacturing teams to plan and execute projects and implement solutions on schedule.
Engage with tool suppliers to highlight new module unit process requirements and evaluate new equipment solutions.
Define and maintain module unit process and equipment roadmaps.
Project management on specific tasks with internal and external customers.
Maintain and execute fab operational requirements in wafer manufacturing steps
Continuous improvement in quality performance metrics
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications
Technology-related PhD degree with 0-1 year experience in process technology development area.
Experience with various metrology and characterization techniques like XRD, XPS, ellipsometry, Raman, IR, SEM.
Mastery of principles and working knowledge of various module unit process and equipment.
In-depth understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and understanding of high volume manufacturing is preferred.
Experience in working hands-on with the hardware equipment for metrology or processing.
Understanding of FEOL and BEOL integration is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
